i think the website is basically done? I mean the portfolio section is empty but i really dont want to tackle that yet. i got really into buttons, i guess. i spent so much time working on this site in the last few days that i dont really want to work on it for a while. anyway, theres some stuff ive gotta do in the real world. but yeah, obviously ill probably keep updating the website in little ways basically forever, but i think what ive done is good, considering i didnt use any templates or anything, and this is my first experience with html. i havent actually been making that much music lately. i guess theres nothing wrong with taking a break every once and a while, but on youtube ive been saying that im gonna upload all my new stuff soon. on youtube, they havent heard anything from me since i released my first album, greatest hits. since then, ive made one ep thing and one album, but i didnt upload the recordings of the project files with my mouse dancing for those ones because i just didnt really consider it important, but thinking about it, my largest audience is on youtube, with almost 600 subscribers. i should probably upload those soon.

I LOVE HYPERTEXT MARKUP LANGUAGE!!! it is so easy and fun and i love programming. i know im only doing the basic stuff so far but it's been very fun figuring out how to do all the stuff I had pictured in my head. i will say, one thing ive been noticing is other peoples commitment to the "bit" with the whole y2k aesthetic. its fun, but i dont think its exactly my vibe. i like the aspects that my website has of that homemade quality where you can tell the creator was having fun designing it, but i dont really want a million gifs and clipart everywhere. i think this website strikes a solid middle ground between that and corporate squarespace slop. ive been scared to integrate any javascript for some reason, even though id probably just be copy+pasting it all in. this came up when i was considering trying to make a custom audio player. im probably not doing that, but i guess its still a possibility. if youre reading this and ive already done it, be sure to congratulate me, i guess. at the moment, there are still a few things i need to do for sure. for one thing, i want to try to add links for all the artists in the "inspirations" section, i want to add a counter for how many people have visited the website, im gonna add more links to the gallery, and i might also try and figure out the marquee tag. maybe ill just put something like that at the end of this entry. i might also seperate the links from the gallery, as theyre kinda not related to the pictures, and anyway the defintion of a gallery is a collection of pictures, not a collection of links. the thing is, id have to fix the header on every page to add another box at the top, and i dont really want to.

yeah, on second thought, im just gonna rename gallery to something else. adding another tab to the header kinda messes everything up.

i rearranged the site a little, what used to be "gallery" is now "collections," and i moved my inspiration list there, and replaced the "inspirations" tab with an "about me" section.
